Eight Top 10 Ranked Teams Advance to '16 State Tournament
Eight teams rated in the top 10 in the final regular season CCCWVCA State Top 25 rankings are headed to Woodland Hills for the 2016 CCCAA Women's Volleyball Championship tournament. The field of eight include the North's top four seeds in state No. 4 and defending state champion Cabrillo, No. 5 Fresno City, No. 9 Sierra and No. 10 Gavilan. The South seeds include state No. 1-ranked Grossmont, tourney host and No. 2 Pierce, No. 7 Cypress and No. 8 El Camino.

The tourney takes place Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 3-4, at Pierce College and features the first single-elimination, 8-team version of the championship event. It's also the first state championship to field eight teams since 2009 when it was a double-elimination event.
